Jesus Is the Only Way
Wild, warm eyes twinkling
Winking with whispering laughter
Loving and tender and dancing
Like a sweet promise of hope
Breaths of passion, praise and prayer
Penetrate the heart of my faith
With music that dances like grace
Forever creating a second chance
Painting the delicate wings of my soul
With kindness in hues of azure flowing
Awakening my love to abundant trust
Gratitude captured on the shore of silence
Lighting my life with inspiration that cries
With beauty alive amid the echoing sighs
Of a spiritual soaring through winds blowing
Dreaming of a gentle and thoughtful acceptance
Brightening my desires with flaming fires
Freeing my soul from the pain and grief that come
On the edge of sorrow bound up in despair
Riding the waves of a dread that is dark fear
Rich, vibrant hues of sincerity and assurance
Color my thoughts in brilliant lilac and cobalt
Creating a sense of artsy appreciation within
Freeing my mind from the shadowy grave of sin
Alive, like the nature of a love that inspires
Wisdom, wit and a naked faith – lush devotion
That vibrates and pulses with glad emotion
Growing my heart with a deep appreciation
For the sunlight, the moon, the stars that ride
Across the dawn, the dusk, flowing with passion
That gives away the truest promise of a knowing
From the heart of heaven is a belief that is firm
God is still alive, still giving and still fulfilling
The hope for a life that is one God is willing
To be blessed and sanctified by His Holy gift
Of a Son who made a way for all who repent and pray
