Jesus Is Joyful and Jealous and Just

I ask the Lord's blessing to fall upon you,
I look back with thanksgiving and trust.
The worst of my foes has not broken through
my Jesus is joyful and jealous and just.

I look back with thanksgiving and trust
when your condemnation comes past my gate
my Jesus is joyful and jealous and just
though His vengeance may sometimes seem late.

Reason A. Poteet May 8, 2019 at 2:19 PM A great example of my failure to read the contest rules correctly. I believe the host just wanted one four-line stanza. For the poem I chose in context, two stanzas needed to be included in this Rithimus Divisa. I'll just call it a Ruthimus Divisa instead.
