Jesus Is God and Much More Than a Man
Jesus Is God and Much More Than a Man
by Joan Donnelly Ellis January 28 2016
He is the wind unseen rustling through the leaves
The silent comforter of a soul as it grieves
Dawn's early breaking with the dew on the rose
He is the majestic mountain and the river's repose
The provider of oxygen abundant and free
The colors in the rainbow that inspire poets such as me
He's the one who defends you when no one gives a damn
The fragrant perfumes ushering in Spring throughout the land
He's the Prince in your dreams lightly kissing your brow
The supplier of all your needs in the now
He's the giver of wings to bear, buck, and fawn
When hunters pursue them from dusk 'til dawn
He's the rumbling thunder
Lightening that illuminates a malevolent sky
And he is the only lover that never says goodbye.
