Jesus Failed

JESUS FAILED

Walking on the stormy
sea of galilee, Jesus,
glancing up
at the heavens,
shakes his fists
(at the pelting rain)
ignores his disciples
cries of pain
tires of playing
messiah miracle games.

He fills his pockets
with heavy stones
walks out to sea
alone
and declares loud
and clear
for all to hear:
I am
not to blame
for this lousy weather.
