Jesus Christ

Blood of the innocent has painted ground red
Lying there looks as if he is dead

But they drag him up to beat him even more
Crowds are cheering, much worse is in store

He continues to struggle, blood dripping down from his face
People are laughing, shouting to pick up his pace

His talks of God had made people suspicious, angry and wild
But they didn’t know that Jesus is God’s precious child

He was crucified on the wooden cross, nails piercing through his skin
How evil is human nature, how dark is their sin

He died for our sins so that we can live
Is there a bigger sacrifice, what more can you give

Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today
He has saved my life many times and He is protecting me every day

I have seen the miracles He performs with my own eyes
I love you Lord Jesus and I thank you every night and morning when I rise
