Jehovah-Shalom
The hurricane rages--
The thundering sea
Assaults the trembling shore.
"Peace, be still," speaks Jehovah-shalom,
And the hurricane rages no more.
The mountain defeats me;
In hopeless despair
I helplessly fall on my knees.
"Peace, be still," speaks Jehovah-shalom,
And the mountain is cast in the sea.
Twilight is falling;
Death's shadow appears.
I groan in my terror of night.
"Peace, be still," speaks Jehovah-shalom,
And the darkness dissolves into light.
