Jealousy Sought My Fame

Victory neared but I had all but given up Memory had slowly begun to abandon me, Ivory towers no longer satisfied my needs Trajectory found me kneeling on bended knee. History had not been particularly kind to me Contradictory rumors cast blots on my life, Sophistry invaded my one sphere of influence Inquiry uncovered even more lethal strife. Valedictory seemed my only acceptable release Predatory enemies jealously sought my fame, Mystery surrounded my plethora of concerns Maledictory insults eventually destroyed my name.

Yes, it happens more often than one would think. Many a good mind has been jeopardized by the tongues of thoughtless drones.

Nope, not personal at all, Maurice. I was writing about a fictional person who life was threatened by rumor and innuendo. Should turn into a novel, eh? (lol)

Thanks, Caren. I don't know about that. This was a fictional write about a character who faced destruction by his jealous enemies. Not me! Nothing or nobody makes me self-destructive. I don't think.
