Jealousy Sought My Fame
Victory neared but I had all but given up
Memory had slowly begun to abandon me,
Ivory towers no longer satisfied my needs
Trajectory found me kneeling on bended knee.
History had not been particularly kind to me
Contradictory rumors cast blots on my life,
Sophistry invaded my one sphere of influence
Inquiry uncovered even more lethal strife.
Valedictory seemed my only acceptable release
Predatory enemies jealously sought my fame,
Mystery surrounded my plethora of concerns
Maledictory insults eventually destroyed my name.
