Jealousy
Jealousy
I grinned as they laughed
as if making fun of me,
The lesser child of God-me,
Their inseparable love
Why could I not get?
Fortune smiling at them
and mocking at me,
Born with a silver spoon
Why not me ?
A luxurious life style
lavish dinners,
Adored by all
gleaming shimmers,
Beauty with a kind heart
at peak of fame,
Why not me ?
Was I born with those
green eyes?
A fright to laughter,
An injured lover's hell,
Cruel as a grave,
Stronger than love,
Well is that jealousy ?
My suspicious fears
and envious resentments,
Turned to a jealous rage
kept me burning inside,
Poetry doing top honours
wish were truly mine,
Hard work put by a friend
why hope win was mine ?
Oh envy !
Thy name I can't see,
I can't let that green eyed monster
ever feed on me !
Introspection
Rumination
Meditation
Will these cure my disease?
Will it change colour of my eyes ?
