Jealous of the Angels

I hear the footsteps of time
and hopelessly ignore
I see the disguise of fate
but not anymore
I smell the sound of fear
and wish your spirits could soar

could soar
could you fly away
leave the world behind today
could we lie awake
could I hide away
someplace where I never know there was a tomorrow
could I fly away
only if you could soar

I wish your spirits could soar
soar soar

I see the footprints of time
but can't seem to follow them anymore
I see the smile of fate
and hopelessly ignore
I feel the taste of fear
and wish your spirits could soar

could soar
could we leave the world behind today could we lie away and hide away
someplace
with no tomorrow
could we leave the world behind and fly away
could we lie this way?
can you soar?
can you soar?
