Je Ne Sais

you ask what the future will bring - 
you ask if you'll find happiness - 
you ask where does contentment lie - 
you ask who knows these questions asked - 

you want the roads end to be seen - 
you want the curves of path envisioned -
you want full knowing of in between - 
you want to know your human condition - 

je ne sais - je ne sais, 
is all i can utter in reply
i do not know - i just don't know
we'll get answers maybe by-and-by

we will not treasure lifes' portends
if we know just how the story ends
