Japanese Poppies

if i plant japanese poppies

would i become like samurai

walking with wisdom

could i broaden your horizons

seeds of knowledge...

it refreshes the mind

to become one with yourself

healthy solitude

be not afraid of my thoughts

my longings are universal

all made up of small stitches

carefully sewn together

the voyage of discovery...

tears take away pain

we deem those happy who cry

cleansing of the soul

to sit by one’s own fireside

and teach from within

a great joy

to learn a wonderful thing

listen to your mind...

if i can hear them

i like to thank the birds for song

my ears are working

if i plant japanese poppies

would i become like samurai

walking with wisdom

be quiet and calm

it is already there

wow. Christopher sure picked up on something there! Relections within a reflecting poem. Very nice meditative type poetry. Luv,Andrea ps. MY In Retro was about my church's theology, probably why few are getting it!
