Notes About The Poem

One of a book of poems I wrote for my grandson, Oliver. This one features a strange, cuddly doggy-thing named Japanese John.

Japanese John

Japanese John’s a spaceman, a red button’s on his suit,
And if you press that button, he’ll teach you to play the flute.
His great big ears and huge left eye help him to hear and see,
And his spacesuit is bright blue with yellow stars. I think there’s three.
John’s arms are open wide, so he can hug you to his chest.
He’s a spaceman from Japan, who teaches flute the very best!
