January Metamorphosis
January Metamorphosis
It was the first day when the crystals of time shattered in hearts,
Realizing that you leave through the labyrinth of my wounded soul,
While I was falling into the ocean of blind love drowning,
Embracing phantoms that melted in the bitter snow cold,
And dreams became ashes in the glass of the cold night.
I was losing myself in the darkness of sadness like an extinguished tree,
The weight of pain was mountains of ice on my bare chest,
In the bluest January from the heart of frozen ice,
When breathing became crystals of loneliness pure,
And tears transformed into rivers of melancholy deep.
For the first time I was waiting for you like a prayer sacred,
I couldn't lose you, let you fly into oblivion's embrace,
So I betrayed my needs to embrace your shadow dark,
My soul becoming sacrifice on the altar of love blind,
And my heart melted in waves of blind devotion complete.
Now a year has passed and I've been mad like a storm raging,
Crying and questioning beneath the frozen stars above,
Torn in the battle between cold mind and burning heart,
Dancing on the edges of pain like on shattered glass,
While dreams crashed down like extinguished meteors dead.
This toxic bond tears the fiber of my being apart,
You left and returned like an echo without mercy cruel,
Without a trace of compassion in your eyes of ice,
Now my shattered heart finds its final resolution clear,
To forget you and cut the thread on the first day of New Year.
