January First

The champagne's all been guzzled.
The fireworks have burst.
The calendar has been replaced - 
It's January first.

In plans and resolutions
We all have been immersed.
It's time for starting over, fresh - 
It's January first.

Belaboring a point cannot
Be easily reversed,
So let me just acknowledge - wow!
It's January first!

Robert Johnson January 11, 2014 at 4:46 PM Last year is over, no need to cry. Just take a couple aspirin and dry that teary eye. Living to dwell in yester hell has got to be the worst. Hip, hip horray, it's a new day. It's January 1st. Peace. :)
