Jake's Road

Sitting here in silence
So ing loud I can't cope
Unbearable, deafening noise
Capable of waking the dead
I'm guessing there's some anger
I can feel it hovering
Like ready to pounce
Upon the first poor fool
Can it up mister
And put it away
Back in your little heart
You've tried to choke me with
I want to be left alone
With my own voice for comfort
Only hand to hold being mine
Without suffocating through the day
So buck up twinkle toes
And pull up your britches
Stop screaming with your eyes
Burning my flesh with your wounds
Emotion is my nemesis
Sent to destroy this defense
