Jaded Crystal
She went by the name of Crystal
Faded but straight as a pistol
Face showing the tick of the clock
Many times she had circled the block
Married twice but soon learned the rule:
‘Don’t tie yourself down to no fool’
Nose sniffing from snorting cocaine
Her crazy blue eyes pierced the brain
Distaining prim-prude social laws
Unashamed she displayed her flaws
Brutal truth often spit with a curse
Busting big-shots with her horsehide purse
Ex bartender, ex trucker, ex maid
Eccentric and caustic. Unafraid...
Smelling blood, she slashed like a shark
Yet her smile could light up the dark
*Loosely based on a lady I am proud to call a friend
