Jackson the Pug Meets Santa Claus
Picture this if you will!
Christmas Eve at the home of,
Jackson and Janis the Pug
after dinner all the mess is cleaned up,
and Jackson and Janis are safe and snug
Jackson is dreaming of hot dogs,
of Mr. Jones and his hot dog cart
on a nice warm summers day,
as he strolls through the park
When he wakes to a noise down stairs,
he tells Janis " stay put" heads for the door
Janis was worried of course as her,
Brave little Jackson, headed for the first floor
Little Jackson, light footed down step by step,
farther down, farther down he goes
he sees movement, in the living room,
what it is Jackson does not know
Now on the first floor, rounded the corner,
coming to the living room, he gives a pause
there, before his bright little eyes,
was the man in Red, Santa Claus
When Santa saw Jackson, he gave him a smile,
pulled a scroll from his pocket, said " look at this,"
Santa walked over, unfurled the scroll
said,:" I see my young Jackson is on the nice list"
Jackson said," Santa, is Janis there too?"
" She's my wife,and she's been a good Pug this year,"
With a chuckle he said" Look closer and see"
" Yes my young Jackson, here's her name, just here"
A smile on his face, twinkle in his eye,
Jackson watched Santa, on this Christmas day
he made his way to the fireplace, finger on his nose,
Merry Christmas young Jackson, up the chimney he ros.
Dash away, Dash away, Dash away all, Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
Merry Christmas Jackson and Janis !!!
