Jack Reacher the Movie

He watched the show, sitting on the bleachers,
that author Lee Child,
as his creation, the great Jack Reacher,
became five foot seven, meek and mild.



NOTE: I'm sure I'm not the only one who was gravely disappointed at Tom Cruise playing Jack Reacher. *sigh*

I actually enjoyed the movie, but in my defense I didn't know it was based on a book before the movie.If I knew that I would have read it first. I had a feeling though when the plot was interesting. They're making a lot of movies based on books now because Hollywood can't come up with anything original anymore. lol!

Sadly yes... Super 8 was an awesome movie though! Not extremely recent, but still... epic it was!

yes, I know books are often very different from the way the movie depicts the characters. Funny that they chose Tom for a hulking guy!!

hmmm, I really liked the movie, Timothy. Then again, I never knew it was based on a novel and all I knew was that it was an exciting movie with Tom Cruise in it!!

Interesting! It's actually a really long series (I believe there is at least 16 so far in the book series so far... the movie was based off One Shot). I'm glad you enjoyed the movie... though if you read the books you might understand where I'm coming from.

Well, I haven't seen any Tom Cruise movies lately. Your poem is very lively and entertaining. I suppose I'll have to see the movie, someday :)

Well don't have high hopes and it will turn out better... lol. I have to admit Tom Cruise was one of the most un-Jack-Reacher like actor I could think of to play the part... oh well. It Hollywood... what are you gonna do?

Hello Tim, I'm not much of a Tom Cruise fan. But, I got to admit now that he's an older man. I like watching his movies. Jack Reacher, was okay in my book. I enjoyed some of the action... and this part as well... when he's notified over the hostage situation. -----> Jack Reacher: "Do you think I'm a hero? I am not a hero. The lawyer's all yours." [Hangs up but calls right back] "On second thought, I'd like to kill you." I like how Jack was first uninterested but soon change his mind. Scary is what they were going for.. LOL… still enjoyed the movie… i do understand your sigh** That's the way I feel, when Nicholas disappoints me in movies... ha ha ... LINDA

If you don't have the book series in mind it is a good movie... just think of it as Tom Cruise movie (and don't think about the book). Nicholas Cage... I'm not sure what to say about him. He's the weirdest actor in the world, but yet he's strangely appealing.

I watched it in theaters because my mom wanted to go. But I really wasn't expecting much and because of that the movie wasn't SO bad. I still don't think he fit the part at all though...

Timothy... Very well-done... I am not a fan of Tom Cruise.. but I found him great in Mission Impossible series.. Loved this form of poems... have to try it one day!!

Thank you for saying so... very kind of you! I like Tom Cruise I'm just saying if you read the books you might find him very unfitting for the role of Jack Reacher.
