Notes About The Poem

Who Was J.R.R. Tolkien?

J. R. R. Tolkein

Father of modern fantasy, J. R R. Tolkein -
the languages he knew numbered seventeen!
A hobbit (though wrong-sized) he said he could be
loving his pipe, trees, plain food and rising belatedly

I fantasize about living in Bilbo's tree home. It had me from the front door. First hard copy book I ever bought was a trilogy, JRR Tolkien, decades later it's still on the bookshelf. I'm sure he'll like this.

A fantastic clerihew about the father of modern fantasy my dear poet friend, Andrea. Thanks for introducing him through this well-crafted poem. Just wondering what those 3 initial letters stand for. I enjoyed immensely.. Thanks. Hugs
