Jasmine or Flakes Poetry Contest - Sponsored by: Ink Empress - Prompt chosen - Flakes

When sunlight or moonbeams come peeping through Snowflakes will acquire an ivory hue Twisting and twirling, confetti on show Gracing landscape with an ivory glow. Pirouetting by day or ‘neath moonlight When ivory flakes dance, it’s a grand sight Adding glamour to the night or the day When performing a celestial display. Softly falling to earth these precious gems Visions from heavenly angelic friends Snowflakes adorn tree branches, bare of leaves Covered in ivory glistening sleeves. Children wake blissful when snow covers ground Eager to play with friends gathering round Building snowmen, having a snowball fight For them it's having the time of their life. Snowflakes create a wondrous winter scene Beautifying earth on ivory screen A joy to behold, to all folk worldwide Elation the mystic maker provides.

Beryl, you certainly capture all the beauty and adoring aspects of snow falling and depositing on objects. All fun and you expose the pleasure so adroitly. Smiles!

- Yes, it's beautiful to look at... but, when you have half a meter of snow... it becomes chaos and a lot of work - A beautiful poem for the contest, good luck :) - Have a lovely weekend, Beryl :) - hugs

Thank you Anne-Lise, I can imagine how hard it must be to have such heavy downfalls of snow, us here in the Uk should be grateful for small mercies. Hugs returned, Beryl

Thank you Victor, it’s not at all how it was long ago, when we often had flurries of snow… Beryl

Hi brother John, thank you. We’ve not had snow here in the West Mids, had some a few weeks ago, but it soon disappeared. It’s been icy cold though, can’t wait for Spring and all that it brings, especially the dancing daffodils. xx
