It's Your Life and You Choose It

No matter what I must hold true to me, Fullfilling what god has been given me. It's my decission to to run and hide, Or rise back up and face it in stride. Life is hard it may break me down , Finding myself face down to the ground. But it's up to me to rise up and achieve, Presevering and focusing on my beliefs. My vision's come true if I accept no defeat, There's no one I can blame . If I give up and hide my face in shame, If in old age I find myself in deep regret, I took it for granted now facing my death. I face my grave with dismay I sit, Longing to have another chance to relive it. I wasted each second, each minute and each day , But...I chose to live my life that way. So,listen my friend's for this I say, Live your life fully never waste it away. Your chances are few so be the best you can be, And remember this ,You control your own destiny. Be proud that you can make your's dream's reality. Never find yourself sitting with deep regret, Focus on your dream's and never forget. Now go out and be the most and the best you can be, You have the choice to set yourself free. Written by: Rhonda Zitelman

This is a wonderful rendition of positivism. I like the flow of the words and the message. It reminds me of the army's motto "Be All You Can Be." I love it! This is very inspirational. Live your dreams like you never did before and rise up above all odds! Great job and welcome to PoetrySoup! ~Joseph
