It's Your Life

As your God I must remind you
you’ll be judged by what you do,
by your every single action
in this life I give to you.

It’s your life!.. don’t forget it
you can live it how you will,
but eternity is waiting
with your sweet or bitter pill.

You may lead a life of pleasure
and let others take the grind,
or be kind and true and noble
and help others comfort find.

It’s your life!.. don’t forget it
you can live it how you will,
but eternity is waiting
with your sweet or bitter pill.

When it’s time for retribution
I will weigh all on my scale,
find if you blessed with goodness
or have wandered off the rail.

It’s your life!.. don’t forget it
you can live it how you will,
but eternity is waiting
with your sweet or bitter pill.

There’s a bloke who takes your failures
to warm heaven from below,
he's a truly hateful devil
and a wicked so and so.

It’s your life!.. don’t forget it
you can live it how you will,
but eternity is waiting
with your sweet or bitter pill.

So take your life and live it
for your life is meant to be
your ticket to the place you’ll live
for all eternity!

Hey, Ivor, I saw on another friend's poem that you're back after a leave of absence. Good to have you in our midst again. Nice poem, my friend. :)
