It's too late to apologise

When people hurt us, the best thing we can do is let them go with forgiveness, love and light. This doesn't excuse what they did; and it doesn't mean you have to accept their behaviour or let them back into your life. It simply means that you deserve to feel and experience the peace and freedom that forgiveness gives you. Let your love and light inspire grace, compassion, and mercy. Blessings. It's too late to apologise By Michelle Morris 26/02/2024 You're standing on your soapbox Ready to make a speech You think that it will sway me All the passion and reasons you give But, you don't seem to fathom You don't seem to have a clue I'm beyond your persuasion My heartbreak was a wake-up move Well, I can forgive the hurt I can even move on again But I want nothing more to do with you My tracks are for a different train Because... It's too late to apologise (Too late, too late) It's too late for you and I (Too late, too late) Too late to apologise (Too late, too late) One day you'll know the sacrifice (Too late, too late) Forgive and forget Doesn't take away my pride Forgive and forget Doesn't give you another try You're standing on your soapbox You think it's about dramatic deeds But humility and real remorse Would make a far better deal I look at you in disbelief I can't understand your ways It's complete insanity So, all I can do is hope and pray Because... It's too late to apologise (Too late, too late) It's too late for you and I (Too late, too late) Too late to apologise (Too late, too late) One day you'll know the sacrifice (Too late, too late) Forgive and forget Doesn't take away your lies Forgive and forget Doesn't (ever) give you another try Because... It's too late to apologise (Too late, too late) It's too late for you and I (Too late, too late) Too late to apologise (Too late, too late) One day you'll know the sacrifice (Too late, too late) © Michelle Morris, 2024
