It's Time

It's time
 you know it's here
  you never saw it coming
             never saw it go;
still,
 it exists, counted, marked
  now then later, always and never
             slipped away fast and slow;

so much worry, heartache, tears
 past, present, future things
  hopes, promises and dreams
            smiles, laughter, cheers;

wait, hold, stay in place here
 tick tock handles, clock face
  birth, growth, child, adult,
           aging years along the rolling slope;

for each 
 no matter who you are
  whether finished now or not
            time moves from it's spot.
