It's the Little Things
One early morning started off the same
I read my book as my coffee came
I enjoyed my drink and my book
but I was shocked when I took a look
A woman in a purple blouse
Looked towards me and said it's on the house
I followed her steps with her kind gesture
I said no worries , it's on me sir.
I paid for his coffee as she had paid for mine
And I sat with the man as he began to dine.
Something so insignificant to others and so small
But such a huge impact on me, my heart, and all.
I continue on to this day
To find ones that need help and I pay
Something so small, yet so strong
Maybe there's enough kind to outdo the wrong
A simple little coffee shop
And the woman with the purple top
One morning changed it all
A huge impact from something so small.
