Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Its the Little Things

It’s the Little Things
                by Bob Moore © 2019

It’s the little things, which mean a lot
the things you have, not the things you have not
the love of family, and your friend’s too
the memory of times, which we’ve all been through

Many things happen to build a life
the good, the bad, the joy, and the strife
the happiness of children born
the sadness of people too soon gone

So say the things you want to say
to friends and family every day
some things are too easy, to be forgot
it’s the little things, which mean a lot

To say I love you way out loud
to tell your children, you are proud
of the things, which they have done
and the people, they have become

Sometimes happiness can be fleeting
so enjoy the time of every meeting
Love, affection, and feelings too,
which you give to others, come back to you

And when your life has been well lived
If you always gave, what you had to give
they will remember you, and so
it’s the little things, that mean a lot, you know
