It's Rain, Raining, Still Raining
As I sit here watching all the rain
coming down relentlessly on my window pane
it doesn't take time at all to stop
so much water coming down, is it sane?
Now it can be therapeutic just to watch
the rain makes lines on the glass
it draws these routes in various shapes
makes you wonder, will it ever all pass
How does God produce all this rain?
these clouds above, do they just burst?
mind you, it can refresh your very tongue
one full glass can quench your thirst
Here in Scotland, we get plenty of it
it seems we get more than most
our buckets are full to running over
when outside, you've nothing to boast
Nobody seems to enjoy the rain
everyone complains about its effect
but the farmers love it for their crops
then we all reap its fruitful benefits
