Metaphorically, this haiku is in a class of its own. A chilling conclusion to be sure. Works well as a haiku as well as a senryu for the interpretation I see in it. I left a question on your blog about your contest, Michael. Would like to mention more than one person who came into my life at "The Right Time." Perhaps I could just add that in a footnote.
