It's okay to feel pain sometimes

It's okay to feel pain sometimes, to embrace the shadows that traverse your soul, Pain is not the enemy they're described as, but the silent teacher guiding your steps, A mentor you didn't call upon, but who leaves the deepest lessons, It's okay not to be okay, to allow yourself to be vulnerable in the face of your own tears. You don't have to wear the mask that makes the world feel comfortable, If your heart is breaking, let it break, like a mirror reflecting the truth, If your chest feels heavy, let your breath flow through the labyrinth of your soul, Your feelings are not a crime, not a burden to be carried in silence. It's okay to feel like giving up sometimes, to succumb to the waves of despair, Life has a strange way of knocking you down, pulling you under like a shoreless ocean, But listen—the voice in your head telling you that you're not enough, that the pain won't end, That voice is a liar, an echo of doubts that aren't yours. Give yourself a chance, offer yourself rest, let yourself be enveloped by the love you've awaited too long, You deserve peace, gentle mornings, and quiet nights, a world that doesn't collapse upon you, It won't always be like this; one day this weight will lift, and you'll look back at the path you've traveled, So for now, sit with the pain, hold its hand, but don't let it define you. Everything will be okay. Someday.
