Notes About The Poem

It's My Choice

By 
chance
or by
my choices -
Which governs my life?
My decisions mark the answer.
I am the one to blame when I make all the wrong turns,
but I bask in success knowing I have chosen the right paths that lead to happiness.

I am responsible for who I am, what I say, where I go,  all actions I take.
I will not place my life in the hands of destiny,
nor in fate,  so overrated.
I'll always believe
that my life
is ruled
by
choice.

Jerry T Curtis April 19, 2016 at 6:43 AM Beautifully written Lin, I have for many years observed life and pondered many things and one of the facets of life that I have come to realize---Is that we have as many destinies as we have few choices. Perhaps I will write a poem to explain this.
