It's me again

Hi, it's me again,

You're probably wondering why we aren't together.

    I'm not saying I'm faultless,

But that doesn't make your hands clean.

We aren't passing the talking stage,

Because I saw the red flags way too fast

    You were everything I wanted,

    Now my present is haunted.

Told you I'd give you a chance,

    Now I've changed my mind.

    Don't blame yourself,

Just believe you're a wonderful guy.

Let me be the ex you never had,

    A memory without the bad.

  A string without attachment

Better than a dream you can't fragment

I learned the hard way, Chemistry's not the clue

Common interest isn't enough, I found out it's true

Your kind words, my greatest cue

A lesson learned, with a heart that's new"
