It's Hard To Hide the Tears I Fight

I know loving you is not right,
It’s hard to hide the tears I fight.

So I go about my busy day,
Whispering the words I long to say.

Longing to hold you in my arms,
To keep you safe from life’s harm.

Affairs of the heart can be so cruel,
I know you are no one’s fool.

As hard as I try day by day,
My heart will love you come what may.

So before I leave here today,
There is something I need to say.

I love you, you know I do,
My heart aches to be held by you.

I know loving you is not right,
It’s hard to hide the tears I fight.
