It's Good To Be Back

It's good to back I'm up and sharp like a tack, below I sat blue not knowing life not one clue. But now I'm writing again no more pain to gain, I know I said this stuff before so let's have a drink and give us more. I see life anew and my heart sings with the ring of a phone a voice so sweet in my eye I see a golden ring, no fake nor shame to say "let's go and have a fling!" It's good to be back without any lack in the backpack the booze is flowing and the cigarette smoke lowering, Funny as it is... but sometimes I think of the poets who all took a chance and knew it, that they'd die poor and lonely, all knowing that they were not phony. As they lived great lives before me, I look at myself in glory. I hope life will be as kind and love spare me a love so fine.
