Its For This Moment I Came

This Moment-

Now My heart is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name!”
(Jn. 12:27-28).

Father
In the midst of my pain
And in the midst of the flame
When it downpours
And I drown in the rain
I need to remember its
For this moment I came
It’s for this moment I’ve trained
In the face of the impossible
It’s in this moment I gain

When the darkness descends
And sorrow finds me
When hardship arrives
And I stumble blindly
It’s for this moment I came...

No longer will I ask for my
Situation to be lessened
When those moments come to find me
I will stand firm
And endure the lesson
Because those moments
Are preordained
So it’s for those moments
That I came..

When I’m crushed under the pressure
Of trying to achieve
A higher measure
I will look to Heaven
It’s there I will find treasure..

As the world stands against me
And my sands of time finally run empty
I will not let despair tempt me
For its this moment that I came

Father please bless me
With endurance when you test me
Strengthen my conviction
So the enemy cannot best me
And remember that You have Blessed me
With these moments
For which I came.
