Notes About The Poem

Sitting at my computer thinking about my parents on Sunday morning. they've been gone for a long time but they are never forgotten or unappreciated.

It's Early Sunday Morning

It's Early Sunday Morning

It's early Sunday morning
The Church will open soon
Services beginning early
 'Til a little after noon

When I was young we always went
Sunday morning, Sunday night
To learn the power of the Lord
And what was wrong and right

Praised his name with song and prayer
The Reverend preached the word
We left renewed and feeling good
Resolved to live by what we heard

That's how my parents lived their lives
If church was open had to go
Took us children with them
Had no option to say no

These are the memories of my youth
That's how the Lord was praised
How the family went together
That's how we kids were raised

Good upbringing, love the poem, always keep your parents vision alive. Good job.

I always try and I'm always grateful for having the parents I had.
