A butterfly shucks its chrysalis shell,
thus, its metamorphosis is complete.
And transformed by Nature's magical spell,
a caterpillar now joins the elite.
Flaunting beauty beyond an artist's brush,
its pallet of colors intensify.
For when it comes to art that makes you gush,
God’s masterpieces more than qualify.
A splendiferous shimmering specter,
this delicate insect boasts gorgeous wings.
And watching it sip sweet drops of nectar,
is truly one of my favorite things.
A befitting canvas for nature’s brush
in the game of life they're a royal flush.
