It's Christmas Time, and I Just Don't Care
It's Christmas time, and I just don't care.
About the garland, the sparkle, and the crazy fanfare.
The shopping, the gifts, and all of the treats,
The Christmas carols again, with those same old beats.
The Christmas tree is well lit, with decorations galore,
They're the same every year, it has become a big bore.
But what would I do without the presents and food?
I'd probably get angry, short with others and quite rude.
I'd be a big Grinch, and have no fun at all,
I'd watch them with envy, while they're having a ball.
It's Christmas time, and I guess I DO care,
I may need the traditions, with all of the flair.
Give me the ornaments, and twinkling lights,
The Gingerbread house, and the Silent Nights.
I'll enjoy the Carolers singing with glee at my door,
Bring them hot chocolate, my heart it will soar.
For I do love Christmas, no matter what I say,
I can't wait to see Santa, and that big old Sleigh.
Merry Christmas my friends, I now see it anew,
Enjoy every moment, and Good Tidings to you.
