It's Been a Terrific Day
It's Been a Terrific Day
By Elton Camp
It was until noon that I laid in bed
Slept an hour more to clear my head
Rather than fix me anything to eat,
Pizza delivery, I called up the street
I didn't even throw the box away
It can be done on some other day
Dust can be seen about everywhere
Quite honestly, I really don't care
The old bed sheets need changing
And the closets, major rearranging
Those things won't be done by me
It's too much like work, you see
Because the grass keeps growing
The yard could sure stand mowing
It's hard to tell color the car should be
It sure isn't gonna be washed by me
Just deliver me from needless strife
This has been the best day of my life
