It's a Teenage Thing

Being a teenager, Isn't the easiest thing, Struggles and defeat, Surrounds our everyday life. Eager we are, To get out of this hell hole, Thinking it'll all get better once we're out, A relaxed mind, An easy life, Not aware we are, Of the greater struggles ahead. Then shall we know, The glory of the teenage years.

How prophetic the last two lines of your poem are. I often think back fondly of the wonderful times of my youth. The painful memories are now a faded memory. This may not have been the intent of your poem. But it was a nostalgic poem for me. I look forward to reading more of your poems.
