It's a Part of Me
It's a part of me,
A burgeoning hole in my heart,
Whose cause I know not.
A special kind of misery
Made especially for me.
Is life truly a worth of my time?
Or is it but a dream? I know not.
Forever seems like an eternity;
And I only want to be a part of mortality.
Shaken up inside out,
Like a fizzy beverage,
When opened, it rushes out, onto your face
So am I just the same,
Rushing by with time.
For time is so short,
And hopes are but a thought,
It heeds not one's call,
And if is missed, it's entirely your fault.
For sorrow has become my second name,
Even when I'm unaware, it's still there
And so I count upon myself,
To make me not torment oneself,
I've learned to let go;
And become the embodiment of my dreams
For surely they'd make me be,
A better someone and something
Who I can love to have been..
My sister would tell me anxiety is like a sea,
It tramples over the shores of your being.
Deteriorating all in its path,
A drug that's not good for me.
So I've come to learn,
To promise myself to earn,
A treasure of peace and love,
From being a comrade in arms,
Not avoiding or fleeing away, when at sight
But caress it and accept it be
For it is but a part of me..
