It's a Lovely Day
It’s a lovely day; I want to play.
Outside I’ll tag the first big bug I see.
Pretending that it might be chasing me,
I’ll cry, “You’re IT,” as I then run away.
Then I’ll have myself a private relay
while running backwards as I shout with glee,
“It’s a lovely day.”
When the sun is shining, inside why stay?
It’s sweet when there’s no gloom from which to flee,
so until the end of my little spree,
twirling or scissor walking home, I’ll say,
“It’s a lovely day.”
