It's a Duty

I am me
This I life
The one bit of it that I aptly perceive is –
Life isn’t free

Life is the most invaluable thing
Providence, intelligent as it is
Mustn’t be prone to waste its resources
Each living thing a capital to a definite end

Each and everything is alive
Ask the scientist of the day and they’ll agree
It thus befits that everything exists for a specific interest
Specialization is key if we are to fully live

There’s exquisite order in every aspect of life
The solar system tells of an infinite intelligence
The social life with all its rulers and orders
Tells of the existence of a more superior, infinite rulers and orders

A spoon is almost like a fork
…but definitely different from it
A fork may attempt to do what a spoon does
But never as efficiently

We are what we are
Each in his and her diverse respect
Focus only on the deeds you best can
Let me specialize on being the best I can
…and let’s leave the rest

From the elephants to the ants
Each as important to the benefit of Mother Earth
Life has us all, with intention to co-exist
Lets all live actively, for Mother Nature’s benefit

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

"Let me specialize on being the best I can..." Wow, Wiseton, your spiritual quality eminates purely through this beautiful poem. Love the analogy of the fork and spoon. As you say, we should "focus only on the deeds" we can do best...and leave the rest." It's wonderful to have you back and I hope you find a publisher for your two new books! You are so talented and I've missed your presence here. Love and blessings always, Carolyn
