Iterative Charge

Direction or lack there of
As we turn our backs again
On what we should’ve done

Riding the emotional wave
That leads us occasionally
Starring down uncertainty

In the opposite direction
Reason resides waiting for us
Choices contaminate the future

We are sought for leadership
But can merely speculate
Only sharing skewed opinions

Agendas are hidden with spite
Outcomes usually benefit one
Many left looking for answers

A never ending cycle of events
Fueled by continuous hope
Rather an underlying greed

Bestowing us a cloudy future
With a repetitive chain of events
Questions if hope is on the horizon
