Notes About The Poem

It Wont Go - Bite Sized 73

When sorrow steals into your heart,
And makes herself a shadowed part,
Of every hour, with pain and strife,
Don’t contemplate ending your life.
Your pain wont go, even in deepest despair.
You will pass your pain to those that care.

Six powerful lines with an insightful message about suicide and the lasting pain transference to those left behind. Congratulations on a truth-searing write! Brian

G'day, sorry I havent been around to read your poems. I will catch up now, when they go to sleep, I will read. Thanks for your lovely comment. As Dilly said, years ago I wrote a very long poem on this subject, I heard of a friend in hospital and figured it was time to get the message out there. I couldn't remember any of the original, so I made it a 6 liner, incorporating some of the last line of the original. Best wishes my dear friend. SV
