It Will Take Time
I’ll try to hold onto your hand
but it would be easier
if you wanted mine
We just need time
Please give us time
So we’re stuck in this hole
that your mind has dug us
We’re stuck in thick mud
that’s the walls of this rut
I’ll help you climb out
if you’ll take my hand
I can’t do it myself
I need you with me
We just need time
Please give us time
So we find ourselves out
but now there’s a mountain to climb
I’ll ascend to the top
if you’ll always be mine
I’ll help you up
and take us down the other side
but it will take time
it will take time
