It Was Yesterday

Couldn't have been that long ago, saw your face in the mirror glancing back at me, one last wave goodbye as I drove away; slowly, the memory is haunting enchanting and promising, we'd see each other again sooner than later; that's what we said, told ourselves in the sadness life often follows a different path set in place by greater powers than ours by destiny, by God and unseen angels now it is only a memory that remains it was of yesterday that slipped away.
