It Was Winter When It Was Supposed To Be Autumn

IT WAS WINTER WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AUTUMN

Baby this ain't the way it should be
do you recall when it was only you and me?
and as for that Lord bulls**t even he'd agree
oh poor me, when i scan the scape you are all i see

we are apart for only one simple reason
a weak man with a lady who could reverse the season
and what if Chicken Little's assertion was right
then there ain't going to be me.you or any delight

you promised to love me as long as love can last
well babe i hate to tell you but the end came too fast
quickly did you quit and took to the road
as dying now are all the sensuous seeds i sowed

i know where you are and who is with you
but how can you abandon my eyes of deep blue?
to have you take me back i would pay any fu***ng fee
and as i said before, baby, this ain't the way it should be
