It was winter

It was winter when i saw you Hauntingly cold on the church pew You spoke of forgiveness and fear To a divine spirit, not here We were quiet that winter blue Seeking answers of what is true In sadness, i remembered you An old face from laughter and tears It was winter We were alone and said words few Ghoulish soul in jaded eyes; you Past photos of us, faded peer But now your ghost just haunts me here And there we sat on the church pew It was winter
