It Was Not Real
It was so fantastic,
Moons, by the hundreds, glimmered
Stars, by the thousands, fell from their places
The air smelled of bliss
The surroundings were so peaceful
Dark, lightly windy, and facing me
Was a most calm sea
A sea in which creatures of the depths
Danced and rejoiced of their uniqueness!
I faced it all from a window, somewhere, on a dark night
I faced it all and rushed to grab my camera
To immortalize these moments
In still shots!
The skies were alive, they had lifted their veils
And they were offering me a grandest show
Pray
I was there to enjoy
All alone
It was as if
This show had been set for me
To ease my aching heart
To appease my thirst for the mystical
To instill more patience in me
Yes
After all, do I not yearn to see what lies on the other side
Do I not yearn to be with God?
Pray, birds with silvery tails flew around
Flowers made of the same glitters danced amidst the moons
Boats sailed by
Boats with invisible sailors
Boats made of pure sparkling crystal
Looking at it all, I wondered about who is the power
Behind this great wonder
Who would be the one to stage such a show for me
Who would have so much abilities
As to be able to set up a scene
With hundreds of moons
And thousands of stars
And on top of that
Bring me there,
To enjoy it all!
My camera, I finally set on,
But, when I got to snap a photo
I realized that none of all that I can see
Is for real!
None!
Why
It had all been a dream
I was still in bed
And had been,
All this time
Enjoying a dream, a dream which would
Remain etched on my soul
For as long as it can!
Why, in that dream
I did glimpse of the otherworldly beauty!
