It Was Never a Hoax

Covid didn't like being labeled "just a hoax" So it took revenge on one who made sick jokes I don't wish him any harm But he won't buy the farm It seems his face is covered in rotten egg yolks What arrogance in refusing to wear a mask Was keeping the vile germ away too much to ask Spreading it to many others Parents, sisters and brothers For that he should be ashamed and taken to task Well, now the jokes on him and his foolish pride The Corona germ creeped into the naysayer's hide Covid kicked him in his gut Then bit him on his big butt It could've been avoided but he lied. Yes, he lied. How awful have been his political transgressions "It is what it is," one of his smug expressions That man is just too haughty He's despicable and naughty All he cares about are his worldly possessions I don't like writing about people in politics But D.C. has too many liars and lunatics Time to clean up his mess He's caused us such distress Four more years of Trump? G’day Jenna … a fine verse written in limerick style. The bloke does go over the top, but you know what you’ve got. I don’t think there’s a politician who could lie straight in bed - I did enjoy your work Jenna - Lindsay

Nor mine, Anne-Lise. His priority is of self-interest when it should be the good of country. Immorality and selfishness are terrible traits for one who is supposed to lead. Thanks for commenting.

You write well Jenna, I have written many poems which are derogatory of Trump - we all have our views and express them through poetry but as you mentioned i don't wish him or any one else any harm. However I feel it would be catastrophic if he ran another term. Hugs and blessings. JENNIFER.

I completely agree with you, Jennifer. Another term with him would be even more devastating to us. I cannot understand why so many are blind to what he's done to bring dissension and division to our country. Thank you for your thoughts, Jennifer.

Lol, funny how politicians play it down, worrying too much about the economy. We have them here in the uk. One thing I've learnt is always speak the truth because if you don't it will come back to bite you on the ass. Enjoy the weekend Tom

Thank you, Tom. For all of his pompous denials about it being a hoax, and his claims that only he can fix America, the bug has shown him what real power is.
